Nice 1927 portfolio in original slipcase. Slipcase has some edge splitting and has been repaired, with an approx 2" missing on top edge (see pics), the photogravures are in excellent, near fine condition with only the most minimal edge wear -- 46 plates plus two pages of text. This wonderful and unusual portfolio of works of taxidermy and sculpture done by Akeley over his 14 year span. Beautiful photogravures of the bronzes and taxidermy, most which are still there after 91 years!
