DJ (in clear protective jacket) has small chip on front upper right, chipping on top spine, foxing on edges but is complete, including price (see both photos of dj). True first edition/first printing with Rinehart logo on copyright page. Pages are evenly and lightly foxed throughout for the first inch or so from edges, common for a book of this age printed on less-expensive paper. Wylie was a prolific writer; this book concerns how two neighboring cities prepare for a nuclear blast, written during the cold war. "Wylie's 1954 novel Tomorrow! dealt graphically with the civilian impact of thermonuclear was to make a case for a strong Civil Defense network in the United States, as he told the story of two neighboring cities (one prepared, one unprepared) before and after an attack by missile-armed Soviet bombers.
