Creased and significantly rubbed. Tanned, a few marks to the copyright page, ink spot to p. 131, a few dog-eared pages. Else, clean and tidy. During the 1950s (?) and '60s, Presses de la Cit� issued Simenon's trade titles with the same wraparound illustration of Maigret in silhouette, smoking his pipe, set against a variety of background colours. Good+.
