Description:
A framed original print by Colin Jones dated 1979 but printed in 2003 and signed to the reverse in pencil. The reverse: pencil signature of Colin Jones, stamped with photographer's stamp and titled 'Africa Upper Volta 1979; a pencil note 'Ilford multigrade printed 2003'; mounted, framed 49cm x 35cm excluding mount and frame. Frame 51cm x 64cm. The reverse of the frame has been cut out to expose the signature and stamp.

Colin Jones was a documentary photographer, whose work has been published extensively in The Times, National Geographic, Sunday Times.he was staff photographer on The Observer in the 1960s where he worked alongside photographers Philip Jones Griffiths and Don McCullin.

London: printed for the author, and sold by R. Hett at the Bible and Crown in the Poultry, 1751. Hardcover. Condition: Very Good. 1st Edition. 2 volumes in uniform binding. Quarto. 22cm x 15cm. First work collates viii, 464pp. Second work collates 100, 4pp. Prelims of first work are foxed including general and first part title, thereafter stops suddenly. Contemporary ink annotations on first 4 pages. Final 4pp of first work slightly ragged at extremities, not affecting text. Half leather with marbled boards, recent binding. Raised bands. Both works are scarcely represented on ESTC in Institutional Libraries (4 locations). Not Oxford or Cambridge. David Millar (1687-1757) was an English Dissenting Minister.
