Edinburgh: Published in Fullarton's "Royal Illustrated Atlas of Modern Geography, c. 1860. Engraved map with hand colouring. A couple of folds darkened, tape reinforcements verso, light stains to upper right margin, generally good.. 20" x 15.75. A detailed map extending from Kansas to Texas and territory just east of the Mississippi. Oklahoma is named "Indian Territory". The only railroad existing is one from Galveston to Austin.

London: Orr & Co., [c.1838-40]. 10" x 8-1/4"-25.4 x 20.9 cm. Outline colour. Light offsetting to Gulf of Mexico but generally very good. A detailed map of Eastern United States including an extended westward Florida and areas depicted as "unorginized states" such as Minnesota and Nebraska. Texas shown as independant and also depicting elevations.
