Stereoscopic gelatin silver print photograph, each image 78 x 76 mm, mount 95 x 175 mm, from the series Great suffragette demonstration in London, serial no. 11,950, printed title beneath image Mrs. Fisher, Mrs. McGowen and Miss Vida Goldstein from Australia; both prints are in fine condition; the mount has a tiny surface scratch at bottom edge and a couple of marks on the verso. Many Australian women played a significant role in the suffragist movement, but perhaps none more so than Portland-born and Melbourne-educated Vida Goldstein (1869-1949). Small octavo (185 x 125 mm), contemporary half-calf over marbled papered boards; pp. 124, illustrated with 5 b/w lithographic plates (including one of a large Aboriginal group titled 'King Okalia and entourage'; text in Swedish; a fine copy. Memoir of a Swedish drifter in the outback of South Australia and Far West New South Wales, including descriptions of the Burra district in the mid north of South Australia, Outalpa Station in the far northeast of South Australia, and remote Teltawongee Station, northwest of Wilcannia, situated on the lands of the Mutawintji people, who are described in Fischer's narrative and feature in one of the book's illustrations.

The third printing (editions also appeared in 1943 and 1944). The memoirs of Zeglovsky, a Ukrainian dancer who toured Australia with Col. de Basil's Russian Ballet and decided to settle there.
