Near Fine/Very Good+. 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" tall. 1981 first edition. size octavo, 8.75" x 5.25", 397 pages. black hardcover with gilt titles to the spine, red end-papers. book condition near fine, corners and spine ends slightly rubbed, else fine, contents very clean, no inscriptions. dust jacket condition very good plus, top edge creased and slightly browned along crease, bottom edge slightly creased, else fine, not price-clipped. This novel is constructed around the supposition that Winston Churchill secretly met with Adolf Hitler in 1940 to discuss the terms of a British surrender. Forty years later, Hitler's personal minutes of the discussions are threatening to surface.
