A history of the Presbyterian Church in Wales from the early part of the 19th century to the latter decades of the 10th century. 12mo.

Fair. 8vo - over 7¾ - 9¾" tall. lxxxi, 680pp. Bound in limp leather with gilt titles, coloured endpapers, all edges coloured (boards heavily worn, rubbed and rounded at edges, small white mark on verso; endpapers scuffed, warped, chipped at edges, previous owner's name on front free endpaper, previous owner's names on endpaper recto, plus several newspaper cuttings with devotional messages pasted in on endpapers, gutter strained between front endpapers and half title page, first couple of pages chipped at edges, and a few pages towards rear have corner creases. This has been a handsome volume, beautiful made and bound and is still perfectly readable and usable. Firmly bound and holding. A collection of songs, hymns, tunes etc with musical directions, all in the Welsh Language. We love the patina of this volume.

The title translates literally as The Canary, it is in fact a Welsh hymnal. lxxii, 640pp. Bound in brown limp leather with gilt titles, all edges rose-gold, satin ribbon marker bound in, inner gilt dentelles, black endpapers. (Boards just a little rubbed at corners and spine ends, else neat, clean and bright throughout). A very attractive, tactile volume of Welsh language hymns and songs with musical directions.

All four issues of Y Geninen, a quarterly Welsh language journal which published articles on literature, religion, politics and social issues, alongside poetry and biographies, for the year 1905, bound in a single volume. Green cloth-covered boards, decorated with gilt titles on spine. Richly marbled endpapers. (Cloth a little worn at edges and corners, partially cracked along front spine fold, a few mild marks). Speckled text block edges, now toned. Internally neat, clean, bright and tight barring a previous owner's name on the first black leaf. Welsh language throughout. Small 4to.
