Byatt in the original publisher's cloth binding and unclipped dust wrapper.Signed by the author to the title page.This is a collection of two novellas entitled 'Morpho Eugenia' and 'The Conjugial Angel'. A. S. Byatt, known personally as Dame Antonia Susan Duffy is an English novelist, critic, short story writer and poet. She has been awarded many literary awards, including the Booker Prize in 1990 for 'Possession: A Romance'. In the original publisher's cloth binding and unclipped dust wrapper. Externally, excellent. The dust wrapper is slightly worn to the extremities. The binding has some minor bumping to the head and tail of the spine. Internally, firmly bound. 'Signed copy' sticker to the front pastedown. The pages are bright and clean with very occasional spotting to the endpapers. Near Fine

Synopsis

A.S. Byatt is the author of the novels Possession (winner of the Booker Prize in 1990), The Game , and the sequence The Virgin in the Garden , Still Life , and Babel Tower . She has also written two novellas, published together as Angels and Insects , and four collections of shorter works, including The Matisse Stories and The Djinn in the Nightingale's Eye . Educated at Cambridge, she was a senior lecturer in English at University College, London, before becoming a full-time writer in 1983. A distinguished critic as well as a novelist, she lives in London.
