New York: Military Press, 1987. Fine condition in a bright and shiny Fine dust jacket. The jacket is protected by a removable Brodart clear-plastic sleeve. NO chips or tears. NOT a library discard. Sharp corners. NO owner's name or bookplate. Pages are crisp, clean and unmarked. Originally published in two volumes (1968, 1972). This 1987 edition adds "minor revisions" to the 1984 completely revised 2-volumes-in-1 edition. Handsomely illustrated by Ray Woodward. Bound in the original blue boards, stamped in bright gold on the spine. From the dust jacket: "With 110 full color and 400 two-color illustrations… The appendices contain detailed lists and abstracts of establishments of ships and guns from the 16th century to the present, an up-to-date summary of British naval events, sections on flags and types of smooth-bore shot and a technical glossary [of nautical terms]."
