Reviews

On Aug 6 2007, Quicakid said:
Thorough overview of Impulse Records and its involvement in the evolution of jazz in the late 60's/early 70's with Coltrane being the central figure in their involvement. Many other major jazz figures are also given space as well such as Roy Haynes, Roland Kirk, Charles Mingus, Art Blakey, Oliver Nelson, et al. A well researched and thoroughly enjoyable book offering many insights into the jazz mindset of that time.
