Helena, MT: Montana Historical Society, 1983. First edition, first printing . Hardcover. Haynes, at age 22, negotiated with Northern Pacific a mutually beneficial contract and the next for 30 years he produced piece after piece of NP publicity. Selling the railroad only the right to reproduce his views, Haynes marketed prints and sterograph cards on his own. 206 pages of stunning photography. Publisher's promotional material laid in. Fine in near fine, bright dust jacket with two tiny closed edge tears and one inch tear at the top of the rear flap fold. A very handsome copy.
