A history of the first 50 years of the United States Air Force. Also a Look at the Air Force, Air Force Assoc., and Commemorative Las Vegas Reunion. A most unusual copy as it contains some 68 autographs of Generals, Aces, Medal of Honor winners, Doolittle Raiders, AVG pilot, & World War II & Vietnam veterans. The autographs are on the end papers front & back, the half-title p. & scattered throughout the text. The owner of this book (3 signers inscribed to him but the rest of the autographs are not personalized) spent 14 years collecting these autographs. Among the signers are: Lt. Gen. James V. Edmundson, Bud Day, Gerald W. Johnson, Robert S. Peterson, Paul Tibbets, Fred Olivi, Tex Hill, Dan Cherry, Boots Blesse, Chuck DeBellevue, Chuck Older, Robin Olds, Walker Mahurin, Robert Morgan, Jim Goodson, Leo Thorsness, Dutch VanKirk, 3 Doolittle Raiders, etc. Also laid in loose are 5 color snapshots of some of the veterans signing this exact book. Blue imitation leather hard cover book w/silver title stamping in near fine to fine cond. w/the smallest of bumps to the lower right hand corner. D/W in fine cond.
