Transcript and facsimile of extensive prospectus of English colonization of North America. "The Hackluyt Society... most important Hakluyt manuscript ... of his 'Discourse' of 1584, published in facsimile. The manuscript is in the New York Public Library, Astor, Lenox and Tilden Foundations, which generously supplied photostats for the edition in E. G. R. Taylor's, "The original writings and correspondence of the two Richard Hakluyts," published in 1935, and ha also allowed photographs to be made available for the present edition. Contains appendices, bibliography and index at rear. Light wear along edges of dustjacket and very lightly rubbed.
