Volume itself has brown covers with gilt lettering on the spine. 181 pages, contents include a foreword, a preface, eight chapters, four appendices, notes, a bibliography and an index. The Battle of Midway is considered the greatest U. S. naval victory, but behind the luster is the devastation of the American torpedo squadrons. Of the 51 planes sent to attack Japanese carriers only 7 returned, and of the 126 aircrew only 29 survived. Not a single torpedo hit its target. This is the real story! The book has pencil underlining and key times circled in pencil. The front cover might have had a glass sat on it at some point. The lower outer edge of the pages have discoloration. Dust jacket is protected in an archival quality Brodart cover. Dj is not price-clipped! Dj has discoloration at the top of the spine. A nice reading copy; available for immediate shipment, carefully packed!
