About This Item
Flagstaff, Arizona: Northland Press, 1986. Soft cover. Good +. 72 page work with much black & white illustration, limited color illustration. Mount Rainier National Park was created in 1899 as the United States fifth in the national park system. The author explores early discovery and exploration and early attempts to reach the summit of the mountain, the first tourist accommodations, and the first roads leading up the slopes of Mount Rainier. Interior of book is clean with no underlining, no highlighting, no bookplates, no owner names, not exlibris, no remainder marks, no folded or dogeared pages, no foxing no smudges. The cover has considerable wear around the edges spine and corners. There is no creasing on the spine itself. It appears that someone has blackened out a price on the rear cover. A quite serviceable copy, available for immediate shipment, carefully packed!
