Map illustrated end pages showing Israel and its Arab neighbours: comparative size and population. Blue coloured boards with gilt coloured titles to the back strip. Plaintext dustwrapper with black, silver, white and blue coloured titles to the front panel and blue and black coloured titles to the back strip. Quoting from the rear panel blurb "... Israel, the Middle East and the Great Powers presents the Israel-Arab conflict to the general public in a uniquely comprehensive and interdisciplinary format. It's form and content reflect the best efforts of Israel's intellectual community to analyse the conflict situation in which they live, objectively and honestly." The book is an ex-library copy, though the only hint that this be so is a sticker that previous owner has placed on the title page, with their name, a similar sticker to the top edge of the penultimate page and remnants of the due back pocket to the rear end page. Softening and rubbing of the back strip edges with rubbing of the book corners and lower book edges. Fading of the top edge of the book with fading of the back strip and a little to the left hand edge of the front panel. Age toning and a few stains to the text block edges. Creasing of the dustwrapper edges with heavy rubbing of the dustwrapper panels and of the edges. Handling marks to the rear panel with some sunning of the back strip. There are two, random, remnants of tape to the verso of the dustwrapper on the back strip which has bled through to the front. Size: 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" tall.
