Near Fine condition in a Very Good dust jacket (price clipped, light edgewear) The jacket is protected by a removable Brodart clear-plastic sleeve. Sharp corners. Bookseller's ink stamp ("Gemological Books, Sydney") and previous owner's name on endpaper. All other pages are crisp, clean and unmarked. Well illustrated with figures, diagrams and photos, including 16 pages in full color. Tables. Index. Bound in the original silver-stamped gray cloth. From the dust jacket: "'This book is extraordinarily illuminating and will surely be the definitive work on gemstone synthsis.' - Richard T.
