COL Tibbets was solely responsible for the organization, training, and command of the world's first nuclear strike force. On the morning of 6 August 1945, COL Tibbets flew the Enola Gay into the future by dropping the world's first atomic bomb on Hiroshima. This is his life story, from childhood, through his military career, civilian life with a private aviation company, his retirement and his feelings looking back on the dropping of the bomb. A newspaper clipping about Jeppson's death on April, 8, 2010 from the Las Vegas Sun is laid in. A clean very presentable copy.
