Grey cloth with gilt-on-black and gilt-on brown lettering panels to spine, virtually pristine. xlii + 650 + (1, LoC pub. data), 8 plates ex-pagination, 12 facs, ex-pagination; two line erased sig. top fr. end-paper, gutter opening before half-title now closed with slightly garish white tape, otherwise internally clean, tight and unmarked bar small faint tanning flecks to top edge of text-block. Unclipped jacket clean but extensive rubbing and nicking to edges, small chip top fr. edge, surface rubbing to joints and edges plus a few patches elsewhere, will address these as far as possible and add protective sleeve when ordered. 16 cm x 24 cm
