London: Longmans, Green & Co., 1920-1921. 2 volumes. xliii, 799; xxviii, 671 pp. Reprinted 2006 by The Lawbook Exchange, Ltd. ISBN-13: 9781584776093; ISBN-10: 1584776099. Smyth sewn tan cloth bound hardcover with red and black gilt lettered spine lettering. New. $250. * Reprint of the third edition. Oppenheim's major work, first published in 1905-1906, and repeatedly re-edited is "still highly authoritative. According to the Oxford Companion to Law, "[Oppenheim] was a positivist who found international law in custom, international decisions and quasi-legislation" (904). "Oppenheim's treatise...is an outstanding work on international law not only from the point of view of its content, scope, authoritativeness and up-to-date character, but from the point of view of its adaptability and usefulness for the purpose of study and consultation.": V.R.I, Law Quarterly Review (1922) 52: 139-140.
