While Burke Davis was creating an impressive corpus of work about the Civil War (Gray Fox, Jeb Stuart, To Appomattox, and others), he was collecting rare incidents and facts that struck his fancy. The result is this entertaining new look at the personalities and changes of the Civil War era. Pages are toned, otherwise book is in Fine condition, with yellow cloth binding, bright and sharp gilt titles, solid & tight, square with sharp corners. Internals very clean and unmarked.
