Book originally published by the USAF Historical Division in 1958. Book is inscribed and signed on the ffep "To The Gateway Flight Order of Daedalians With Warmest Regards, John T. Stihl Maj Gen USAF 16 March 1987". In 1967-68 Maj. Gen. Stihl was a combat mission commander with the 12th Air Commando Squadron (Ranch Hand), Bien Hoa Air Base, Vietnam. During this tour of duty he flew 406 combat missions. .
