About This Item
New York: P.F. Collier. Fair. 1883. Hardcover. Decorative green cloth with extensive gilt decoration. Covers on both volumes show moderate edge wear. Vol. 2 has heavier fading to front cover. Top spine end on vol. 1 is frayed. Corners on both books bumped. Both hinges of vol. 1 are broken though still attached by mull. Vol. 2 has cracking to back hinge. Blocks remain tight in both volumes. Front end paper, frontis illustrations and title page of vol. 1 are loose from text and laid in. .
