Complete, richly illustrated history of operetta, that delightful form of musical theatre that has enraptured audiences for more than a century. Beginning with the one-act frivolities of Offenbach and Herve through the eras of Lecocq and Palnquette, Strauss, Gilbert and Sullivan, Noel Coward, Lerner and Loewe. Books signed by Traubner, famed New York and London Times feature writer and international theatre and film lecturer, are quite scarce.
