Very clean, tight, bright. No markings. 345 pp with notes on contributors and index. "A representative sampling of the roles most often allotted women in Renaissance drama -- victims of male lust and violence (and lust for violence)... These roles signal [the] widespread exclusion of women from subject positions, and its tendency to marginalize women as objects of masculine fantasies and tokens in masculine exchanges," (introduction).
