London: Cassell, Petter, Galpin, n.d.. Hardcover. Very Good/No Jacket. No date, presumed First Series. 15 pp. + 20 color tipped-in plates of flowers. Hardcover, brown cloth, gilt title, 4to. Very Good copy: Light rub to covers and tips. Top of front inner hinge starting. Owner's pencil sig. at fly leaf. Light soil to title page. One of the interior string bindings is torn, causing the pages of text to loosen; but they're still securely attached. The book was produced with drawing pages adjacent to each images for sketching or copying; many of these pages have offsetting from the plates, but they have remained otherwise unmarked. Book comes housed in a protective mylar sleeve.

Published date based on publisher name used from 1878-1883, and front bookplate presentation date of 1881. Beautiful floral illustrations. Library de-accessioning has been established.

London: Cassell & Company, Limited [no date]. (4to) np. Very good, no dust jacket. Grey cloth-covered boards with gilt lettering to the front cover. 20 color plates. The covers are edgeworn and frayed at the top and bottom of the spine and the top corners, two blank pages are stained where a tree leaf was pressed between, and some tissue guards are damaged. "Our first series seems to have so far met a want that a demand for a second series has arisen; but while we are naturally gratified that our endeavours have left us but little that remains unsaid".
