Book and 11 original lithographs are in excellent condition. Shelf wear and small tear to DJ (also an original lithograph).
This is the second volume of Mourlot's catalog raisonne of Chagall's lithographs.
Chagall created numerous lithographs for illustrated books. Nowadays, more often than not, they are removed from the book, framed, and hanging on a wall. All of these are still intact in the book which helps authenticate them as original work. From my personal collection that I started building years ago.

Monte Carlo: Sauret, 1963.. 245 x 325 mm. Deluxe edition lacking all the original lithographs except the cover: Musicians, Mourlot no. 405. One of 150 numbered copies on wide margined Arches, signed by Chagall and Sauret in pencil. This lithograph on the cover only appears in these 150 copies. In original cloth boards and slipcase, a little worn. Cramer, 56.

Andre Sauret, 1963. First Edition. Hardcover. Very Good/Near Fine. Boldly signed and dated by Marc Chagall in black ink on half title - with a large, bold signature. One of 150 copies of the limited edition. The book is complete with all 12 lithographs (11 in text, plus jacket). A very good copy in a near fine jacket, complete with original clear plastic outer jacket (book has some minor bumping to edges; jacket has some wear and tiny tears to edges). This copy does not have the slipcase, or the chemise with the two signed prints.

Paris: Andre Sauret, 1963. First Edition; large quarto; publisher’s stiff printed wrappers with glassine; one of 150 numbered copies signed by the artist and the publisher and with two original lithographs created for this publication, each numbered and signed by Chagall. Fine in the original cloth slipcase (some fading) and chemise.
