About This Item
Silver Spring, Maryland: Old Line Graphics, 1995. 128 pages. First printing of this profusely illustrated (with color photographs) story of the Virginian Railway, which hauled coal from southern West Virginia to Hampton Roads harbor in Virginia. Beginning in 1989, the author set out to photograph every interesting location on what remained of the Virginian Railway's tracks. After two years of travel and photography, that goal was accomplished; the result was this book. It is SIGNED (without inscription) and dated by the author on the first blank page. The book is in virtually as-new condition. The dust jacket is clean and bright, with several short closed tears on the top edge; it is now protected in a clear mylar dust jacket cover.. SIGNED. First Edition. Hardcover. Fine/Very Good. Illus. by Kurt Reisweber. 4to - over 9¾" - 12" tall. Book.
