Orig. published in 1934, this is a slightly later (c. 1945) printing, which retains the glossy Frontis, but no internal illustrations (see our listing #019541 for another thick purple copy WITH the internals, but no DJ). In 218 pages; no lists of other title in book. Condition is Near Fine: exceptionally clean & bright, marred only by slight corner bumping. Binding strong & square, both hinges intact. Pages tanned, heaviest around edges, commensurate with age & wartime paper quality (notice on title page).The unclipped DJ (in the late 1930s-1940s turquoise design) is VG, with minor rubbing to extremities, slight edgewear, light soil.
