Author's presentation inscription on front fly leaf. Internally clean. Very good plus. In dust jacket with minor wear, price clipped on upper and lower corners. In a blue half morocco and cloth slipcase, gilt. Roosevelt's speech supporting Alfred E. Smith for the Democratic presidential nomination. Smith was the out-going governor of New York, an office in which Roosevelt succeeded him. This copy is signed boldly on the fly leaf by Roosevelt, with a presentation inscription to a collector: "For Mr. H.D. Trevillian / from Franklin D. Roosevelt / Albany March 4th 1932."
