Englewood Cliffs: Prentice Hall, 1991. Fourth Edition . Hardcover. Very Good/Very Good. 8vo - over 7¾ - 9¾" tall. pp: 337. HARD COVER COPY. Pictorial dust jacket over brown cloth boards. The book is the first in a series of eight volumes on the subject of 'Music and Society'. This volume covers the ages from Ancient Greece to the 15th century. It is a history of music within the context of social, political, economic, and religious life. A very good copy in 'has been read' condition. There is a short, closed tear at the head of the rear panel, and a little wear to the edges of the jacket. Appears to be uncommon in hard cover. The image on my listing is the book for sale.
