Oxford, 1997. New edition. Hardcover. Very Good Condition/Good. The Concise version of the DNB. It has all the entries of the main work but in summarised form. The editors suggest in their Preface that, in most cases the summarised entry is about one fourteenth of the full entry. 3 volumes complete in slipcase as issued. Each book has a clear plastic jacket - these are a little creased and dusty. Publisher's dark green cloth, gilt lettered. Tight, bright and clean set, probably never used. No inscriptions.
