About This Item
Dust Jacket: Blemish -- Library shelf reference code on the bottom of the spine (photo) consistent with a recalled library book. The remainder of the DJ is in excellent shape. Expertly applied Mylar tape covering on all surfaces. No other marks or entries. ISBN and original retail price present, flaps are unclipped (photo).
Book: Blemishes -- Library stamped on all three page edges (photo). Paste down on back cover has library bar code and unknown purpose pasted square (photo). No attempt was made to remove as they have minimal impact on the book's overall appearance and utility.
Slight uniform page toning. No other marks or entries. The book is strong, clean, and sturdy with no signs of wear or soiling thanks to the extra-sturdy dust jacket.
From the Dust Jacket Flap: "Since RU-486's unveiling in 1985, Baulieu and his drug have been at the heart of emotional debate that has raged through scientific circles and spilled out into the realms of politics, religion, feminism, and ethics."
Over three decades have elapsed since this book's publishing and the controversy summarized into the above noted realms has only increased in intensity. Valuable reference book and a candidate for any medical reference library.
