This tells the moving story of the enchanting young Queen who was at first beloved and finally guillotined by the people of France. Bernardine Kielty is the author of another book in the Landmark series -- The Fall of Constantinople. This copy includes a laid in news letter to the young reader with information about Marie Antoinette and is signed in blue ink (a FACSIMILE signature) by the author. Only the Book of the Month Club Young Readers series were issued with these letters.
