About This Item

Random House, 1965. Hardcover. Very Good. 8x5x1. Gil Walker. One of the SCARCE titles in the wonderful Landmark series. Book is in Very Good or better condition with a tight binding and clean crisp pages- one page at the back of the book has a small bent edge area. Inside text appears to be unread. There is a name and number written at the top of the first blank end page. No other writing or markings in the book. There is some darkening to some of the outside park ends, which appears to be shelf wear and does not effect the inside text. Outside pictorial covers are nice with some minor soiling and wear to the covers, outside corners and edges. No Dust Jacket, as this title is one of the higher numbers that was never issued with a Dust Jacket. Overall a good book! One of the harder to find titles. Landmark Books and World Landmark Books are accurate, in-depth stories for young people in the 9-15 year old range. These living histories were written by award-winning authors or by men and women who experienced the events first hand. Written during the 1950's and 1960's and illustrated either with two-color drawings or clear photographs, the books are informative, enjoyable, and well worth reading and collecting. Landmark Book #111. Here are the remarkable stories of some of America's great war heroes- men who have won their country's highest military decoration, the Medal of Honor.
