About This Item

Random House, Inc, 1957. Hardcover. Very Good. 8x5x1. R. M. Powers. Vintage Landmark Cloth Cover Hardback Book. This title is getting harder and harder to find! Book is in Good to Very Good condition with a tight binding and mostly clean crisp pages with a few smudge marks, but overall the text still appears to be Unread. No writing in the book. There is some soiling/darkening inside the front and back cover (shelf wear) with a "H" in a small circle about the size of a quarter on the first end page- this is a mark from Random House. There is also some shelf wear to the top outside page ends with some spotting, which has little effect to the top page borders. There is also a ding/bump to some of the outside page ends near the center of the book- this is minor. Outside cloth covers show some soiling and wear to include the corners, edges, and spine. No Dust Jacket. This is a less common title in the wonderful Landmark series. A book that is difficult to find. Landmark Books and World Landmark Books are accurate, in-depth stories for young people in the 9-15 year old range. These living histories were written by award-winning authors or by men and women who experienced the events first hand. Written during the 1950's and 1960's and illustrated either with two-color drawings or clear photographs, the books are informative, enjoyable, and well worth reading and collecting.
