It is believed to be the oldest order in continued existence. This tome is the first comprehensive history and dates from its inception to the time of this publication which was set to commemorate the 650th anniversary of the first Garter Feast on St. George's Day held April 23, 1349. Foreword by His Royal Highness, the Duke of Edinburgh KG, Prince Philip. Richly illustrated. Blue satin ribbon marker. Jacket housed in loose, protective mylar sleeve.
