Toronto: Simon & Pierre, 1989 Book. Illus. by B & W Photos and Illustrations. Near Fine. Hardcover. 8vo - over 7¾ - 9¾" tall. Original light grey cloth over boards with gilt lettering. Lilac dustjacket has black and white photo of the subject on the cover, with purple and white decoration and lettering. Minor corner and edgewear, and one small ink mark on front flap. Margaret Anglin spent most of her early childhood in Saint John, New Brunswick, although the family travelled back and forth between there and Ottawa, where her father (Timothy Warren Anglin) served as an MP. He'd arrived in Saint John from Ireland in the 1840's, and established a newspaper here. Margaret apparently began her acting career at the tender age of five, performing for the nuns at the convent school next door. 326 pp. with Index. .
