The binding is lightly rubbed with the top edges of the covers & the head & tail of the spine slightly faded. The head of the spine is lightly creased. The dust jacket is lightly rubbed with its extremities a bit darkened. There is minor spotting to the jacket's spine. xviii & 919 pages. Illustrated with numerous music staves. There is some light staining to the top edge with a small, light stain to the bottom edge. Very good. <p>First edition.
