Issawi has been referred to as "the father of the study of the modern economic history of the Middle East" and there are several references to him in the bibliography of this book, book is in excellent condition, no remarkable flaws, the yellow jacket is sunned on the spine and rear panel, it is clean and presentable, there are no other remarkable flaws and a professional (removable) mylar cover is included, "draws on a broad array of primary sources - a century of Arabic newspapers, biographies and memoirs of Arab journalists and politicians, and archival material - as well as a large body of published studies, to portray the remarkable vitality of Arab journalism," a unique presentation copy ; Studies in Middle Eastern History; 300 pages; Signed by Author .
