Original red cloth covers with gilt decorated front, elaborate borders in gilt and black on front, gilt lettering front & spine, all edges gilt. Completely broken binding in original covers, spine cover separating with loss at bottom, front cover is nice clean & bright, rear cover with black ink splotch, front & rear covers completely detached, binding broken at page 97 and detached. Plates are clean and bright with either no foxing or minor foxing in margins only. This could be restored to a decent copy. The binding of the pages is solid and not shaken or loose apart from the breaks at the covers and page 97. No stamps or writing on pages, pages clean and bright, minor foxing only on some pages opposite color plates, some offsetting (shadow of plate image) on pages opposite color plates, blank plate guard sheets present opposite color plates. Lacking free front & rear EPs. Other than the missing black EPs, all pages, map, and plates are present.
