Based on Armistead Maupin's 1978 series, which was initially serialized in the San Francisco Examiner. A naive young secretary from Ohio moves to San Francisco, where she is introduced to a wild new lifestyle-involving homosexuality, drugs, and the disco scene-by her newfound friends.

Set and shot on location in San Francisco.
