Marina Del Rey, CA: Kings Road Productions, 1980. Draft script for an unproduced film. Included with the script is a handwritten letter in Spanish dated May 22, 1986, addressed to casting agent Paul Kohner and his wife, the actress Lupita Tovar. With a single manuscript annotation in pencil to the first leaf, noting the script's title.
A newly widowed woman takes in a boarder to defray the cost of living alone, in spite of her lingering grief and fear of change. Her housemate, an older unmarried woman who lives life to the fullest, gradually breaks through the widow's sorrow and the pair become close friends, reminding each other that, through the pain and heartbreak of age, life continues on.
Beige Kings Road Entertainment wrappers. Lacking title page. 118 leaves, with last page of text numbered 119. Xerographic duplication, rectos only. Pages Near Fine, wrapper Very Good plus, bound internally with three gold brads.
