This account of the life of prisoners of war under the Japanese is based on a series of letters that Australian Cecil Dickson wrote to his wife as he was waiting for their reunion following his release at the end of World War II. They not only look back at his time as a prisoner, but present a matter of fact account of how he was adjusting to his freedom and preparing to go home. The book also includes some photographs taken secretly depicting life in a Japanese concentration camp. Very Good Hardback in a Very Good Dust Jacket. First Edition 179 pages with an index and some black and white photographs. Weight: 0.7 kg Post free within Malaysia The dust jacket has one minor tear at the back and some curling of the edges. The Text block has some spotting as do the end papers. Otherwise the binding is tight, text clear and there is no tanning throughout.
