The first edition.A study of the Anglo-German question. The preface states that this study will be honest and not shy away from the facts. It suggests that Europe is drifting slowly towards an 'awful catastrophe'. Written pre First World War this text suggests that Europe's unbalanced state was having and will have catastrophic consequences that will damage European relations. This text raises very important questions and understanding it with hindsight shows the extent to which society was cornered. With a frontispiece of Wilhelm II.
