Green paper-covered boards backed in black cloth with silver titling to spine, illustrated dust jacket. Light foxing to top edge of text block and edges of dust jacket verso. DJ front flap clipped at bottom corner, price in tact. Inscribed by author in black ink to ffep: "To Joe and Joanne Dermont" dated 1/84. Laid in is a 4.5 x 10.5 in. manila envelope addressed to Mrs.
Joanne Dermont with Scioscia's return address label, containing a brief autograph letter signed on Scioscia's 5.5 x 7 in. letterhead, thanking Dermont for sending notes and pictures from her students; also, folded 14 x 8.5 leaf of pink paper with a lengthy handwritten note to Ms. Dermont's second grade class, decorated with several animal stickers.
