About This Item

NewYork: Harper & Row, Publishers, 1976. 1st Edition 1st Printing. Hardcover. Very Good/Very Good. 8vo - over 7¾ - 9¾" tall. Very Good, book and jacket, in fact not too far from Near Fine. 'Comet', by Jane White. New York: Harper & Row, Publishers, 1976. First Edition & First Printing.Octavo, illustrated jacket, bacl and white cloth bards with red spine imprinting, 222 pp. Very Good. Some rubbing to the jacket, modest dust at top page edge, very little of the typical marginal age-toning to the page paper, but some. Jacket is slightly shorter than the book, as was common at the time - and in fact, still happens with many new novels, as you probably know. An early post-apocalyptic story, at a time when that theme was not nearly so overdone as it is in these somewhat preachy days in sci-fi. Notable for being an early one. Collectible first edition and printing. Ships in stout protection, of course. L8
