About This Item
Signed first edition. A presentation copy from the poet to Margeurite Littman with the inscription "To Margeurite, Happy Christmas with love and thanks for her party from Stephen. Midnight 25 Dec 1971". Littman was a Hollywood voice coach, a model for Warhol, a bookseller and the inspiration for Holly Golightly in Breakfast at Tiffany's. The book remained in Littman's library until her death and then sold by John Sandoe's Bookshop (where she was a long time customer). What wonderful provenance !
