Written and illustrated by Charles George Harper, an English author and illustrator known for his self-illustrated travel books, including those exploring the regions, roads, coastlines, literary connections, and old inns of Britain. In the original yellow cloth binding. Externally, smart with light rubbing to the extremities. Fading to the spine with the odd small mark to the boards. Front hinge starting but firm. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are very bright and clean with minor age toning to the extremities. Light scattered spotting to the endpapers. Contemporary ink inscription to the front pastedown. Very Good

Where are We?
Based in the literary city of Bath, our offices are housed in the Eastern Dispensary. Built in 1845, the building originally existed as a charitable institution providing medical care. The building now houses our collection of over twenty thousand books and has five full time members of staff.
